My goals in having this radio program are:
1. To strike a balance between our corporate and spiritual life
2. To strengthen our Faith by sharing our blessings and miracles
3. To pray and encourage each other in times of trials and difficulties
4. To be proactive in our Lord’s command
Matthew 28:19
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
3 D’s to avoid in our spiritual journey
1. Distraction
Is anything that drag us away from what is most important at the moment and make us so busy that we lose focus. Satan doesn't use just blatantly sinful or superficial things to divert us from abiding in Christ —he will even use good things to subtly build up a wall of "noise" around us so that we gradually stop listening to the Lord's voice.
2. Doubt
Temptation to doubt what the Lord has said. To do so means to doubt God's heart and character—mistrusting God sets us up to be knocked down repeatedly by the enemy. If we listen to this voice of doubt, we give Satan a foothold; that will weaken us so that he can gear up to bring about further destruction.
3. Disobedience
The story of how Jonah resisted the Lord’s calling is legendary. But isn’t it unfortunate that God had to go to such extreme measures to get His prophet to obey?
We resist doing God’s will for many reasons—fear, feelings of inadequacy, we say no because we dislike the probable outcome of obedience. Like Jonah, we also can lose sight of spiritually important things and focus on our own desires and comfort. If the Lord calls us to act, He will take care of the end results. Our job is to obey.
God makes no mistakes in His dealings with us. Our commitment to the lordship of Christ is one area in which God will always test us. Will we stand firm when our path is full of obstacles? Will we trust the Lord and depend on Him when life treats us unfairly? We need not fear the testing times because our loving Father has promised to set limits on our trials (1 Corinthians 10:13), to walk through them with us (Matthew 28:20b), and to make them beneficial for us. (Jeremiah 29:11)
